Application Procedures

Dear Students,


It is a pleasure for us to be able to welcome you at YTU in the upcoming semester. We all hope that your Erasmus period at YTU will be a unique adventure in your life and it makes an outstanding contribution to your life in terms of both academic and social aspects. 


The number of international students incoming to YTU is increasing each year, which adds greatly to the multicultural environment on campus. In this respect, we would like to host you here with your cultural background, which will enrich the international atmosphere of YTU.


If you are interested in carrying out a Student mobility at Yıldız Technical University in the framework of Erasmus+ International credit Mobility, make sure that you have applied to your university first.


As long as you have been nominated by your home university, you can proceed with the below procedures of Yıldız Technical University.


Please note that in order for your application to be processed, you should be nominated by your home university before you complete your application. Nomination e-mails should be sent to

Nomination: 30th October-10th November 2017
(partner institution will nominate their participants to YTU)

Application: 20th November-15th December 2017
(nominated participants will send their applications to YTU)

The beginning of the term: 12th February 2018

End of the spring term: 26th May 2018

Exam week: 28th May-08th June 2018

Make-up exams: 19th June-23rd June 2018




Important Reminders


-The applications will be only accepted on the date announced for the related call. It is not possible to receive an application outside of this period. Applications not sent on time will not be considered as eligible.


-Most of the courses (2/3) in your study program should be from the department that you are registered.


-Before you send your application, please be sure that you have been nominated by your home university and check with your home university that there is an inter-institutional agreement with YTU for your department.

 Residence Permit

Residence Permit Applications are received by the General Directorate of Migration Management of Turkey. For details, please visit their website:



You should have a General/Private Health Insurance Policy that covers your period of stay in Turkey.

It is also necessary for you to get your residence permit.



Unfortunately, YTU does not provide accommodation at university dormitories. You can either search for private dormitories or rent/share flats with other students. ESN YTU team will help you in finding accommodation.
